NYFW Spring 2020 is right around the corner! With nearly 100 designers and thousands of attendees, NYFW is always one of the biggest fashion events of the year, and we’re lucky enough to be located in the same city! There are lots of ways to participate, so take advantage of the opportunity to be involved.
Get Informed
This year’s event will still be held at Spring Studios on Varick Street, but there are some new changes you’ll want to know about. NYFW 2019 will consist of a shorter schedule of 5 days and 5 nights versus the traditional 7 days and 8 nights. The exciting fashion-filled extravaganza will begin on Friday, September 6, and end on Wednesday, September 11. Tom Ford has been elected to replace Diane von Furstenberg as the new chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
Follow, Like, and Comment
You can join the thousands of others following NYFW on all their social media accounts to get the latest updates. NYFW is active on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, tinder hookups reddit, and https://www.mariposa-communications.com/962700-dating-sites-to-meet-rich-white-guys/. Their Instagram features endless content for style inspiration, and even some funny captions to brighten your day with (our favorite is “Your collection name is the last text you sent + September 2019.”) Their Tumblr fulfills all your artsy and aesthetic desires with cool candids and gifs that are perfect for browsing though and sharing.
Buy a VIP Ticket Package
If you’re able to pay the price, you can get the once-in-a-lifetime VIP experience and attend NYFW. The exclusive VIP package includes hairstyling, a seat at your designer show of choice, and drinks and hors d’oeuvres to keep you energized during the exciting, jam-packed days for the price of $899. For $1,999 you will receive everything plus another show seating and a gift bag of exclusive fashion week items. It’s not the cheapest option, but it’s definitely one of the coolest and worth exploring!
Volunteer or Intern
If buying a ticket doesn’t seem to fit your budget, you may have to work your way in (literally). Just by doing a quick Google search, you’ll find many brands, PR firms, news companies, and modeling agencies need all the help they can get during this busy time. It may not be as glamorous as being a VIP guest, but it can be a fun and unique way of getting some hands-on fashion experience and may lead to more opportunities in the future.
Watch a Live Stream
Many of the shows will be live-streamed from the NYFW website, so you can get a front-row seat from the comfort of your own home. Many live streams are only confirmed 24 hours in advance, so be sure to keep checking back online throughout the event.
Treat Yourself to Some Shopping
There’s no better way to join in on fashion week than going shopping! Take a stroll down 5th Avenue to check out what’s in right now, and try to predict what will be trending for season. Walk the streets sporting your favorite trends and feel just like a model on the runway.
From logging into Instagram to working an event, there are so many things you can do to feel like you’re apart of the exclusive NYFW experience. Enjoy this exciting time and be sure to get lots of social media content along the way!
