Just like any other girl with a knack for sparkly accessories and over dramaticized looks, we at Mariposa simply cannot wait for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. This year’s annual event took place in Shanghai, China on November 17, and will air tonight!
Veteran angels such as Lily Aldridge and Adriana Lima returned to the runway and Alessandra Ambrosio- Brazilian model and mother of two, kicked rumors of retirement to the curb and participated in her 17th show!
Other familiar faces who made a return include Karlie Kloss, who hung up her wings a few years ago to study at NYU, as well as Angel Candice Swanepoel, back after maternity leave.
In addition to 55 models, Victoria’s Secret brought along 70 staff members; 32 makeup artists, 27 hair stylists and 11 nail artists to make sure the girls were runway-ready.
By far the most impressive item on the runway was definitely the Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra, worn by Lais Ribero. The two-million dollar bra is composed of diamonds, yellow sapphires, and blue topaz. This year was Ribero’s 6th show with Victoria’s Secret, but it’s her first time to wear the Fantasy Bra. “It was so emotional. I couldn’t believe it when they told me. It was so beautiful.” Said Ribero.
However the highlight of the night might not have been the angels at all, but Harry Styles’ performance… and his jazzy dance moves!
